AMAC COURSES 2019

The AMAC Course Part 1 and Part 2 training programs are designed for qualified and registered medical and dental practitioners who wish to include Medical Acupuncture as a treatment modality in their clinical work. Medical Acupuncture has the highest level of scientific evidence for the treatment of chronic pain, and the courses include up-to-date neurophysiological knowledge combined with modern effective and practical acupuncture techniques using both needle and laser.

AMAC Course Part 1 provides the core knowledge, skills and competencies to become a medical acupuncturist.

This is the only course approved in Australia for the title of medical acupuncturist, and for the access to Medical Acupuncture Medicare item numbers.

The format of the course is convenient for busy practitioners with online webinar teaching, weekend workshops and practical hands-on mentorship for clinical acupuncture experience.

AMAC Course Part 2 is an advanced course that will give you skills to treat patients with complex pain problems. After passing this exam you will become a Fellow of AMAC with the high level of knowledge required to utilise medical acupuncture in general practice or any other ambulatory care practice, in hospital-based emergency, outpatient, rehabilitation, palliative care and pain management settings.

The format of the course combines online webinars with practical hands-on clinical training sessions for comprehensive clinical skill development.
